About KICKS

KICKS DANCE STUDIO has been proudly serving the Markham and surrounding area for the past 25 years! KICKS is dedicated to providing the highest quality dance instruction to children, teens and adults in all forms of dance. Whether you aspire to be a professional dancer, or just want to have fun, KICKS has a dance program for you! Established in 1984, KICKS has earned a great reputation for providing a warm and friendly environment in a professional setting. The dance industry has long recognized the studio for its teaching excellence and outstanding faculty. KICKS offers recreational and competitive classes in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Acro, Musical Theatre, Contemporary, Pointe, Conditioning, and Belly Dancing.

Dancers from KICKS have performed and appeared in various films, music videos, TV specials, commercials and professional stage shows. Students perform with the Raptors Dance Pak and Junior Dance Pak, at Stratford in the Stratford Festival, on the Canadian National Tap Dancing Team, and on CBC with the Tap Dogs. Dancers have also performed in many community and charity events in the local area. KICKS students have been recognized and featured for their many accomplishments in dance on City TV, CFTO News, Chat Room LIVE, Fairchild TV and CBC Television. Several students are recipients of the Sport & Recreation Wall of Fame awarded by the Town of Markham for their years of success in dance.

All students at KICKS perform in the annual spectacular showcase held at the Markham Theatre. The recital is a very exciting event for all students, parents and instructors.
