All of our classes are low impact workouts designed to sculpt, tone, and strengthen the entire body. Whether you’re an experienced fitness enthusiast or a beginner, we offer accessible classes suitable for everyone!

Once you submit your online registration, you will receive an email link to download our fitness app, “The Fitness Studio by KICKS”, where you can reserve your class selections.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

The Fitness Studio requires a minimum of 10 hours notice to cancel a group fitness class reservation, and 24 hours notice to cancel a reformer class reservation. Simply log in to your account on the fitness app and remove yourself from the class you can no longer attend. If a participant cancels a class selection within 10 hours of the class start time, or within 24 hours of the reformer class start time, they will lose the class credit and a make-up class will not be available.

Cancellation Policy for Monthly Members: A fee of $10 will be charged for each late cancellation or no-show. This policy is in effect for group classes only and is designed to encourage timely cancellations that allow other members the opportunity to participate. Definition of Late Cancellation: A late cancellation made less than 10 hours before the scheduled start time of a Group Fitness class.

Monthly membership – the monthly membership is a recurring plan that will be processed automatically each month from the date of purchase. There is no contract and no commitment. If you ever wish to cancel your monthly membership, please send us a cancellation notice in writing to mountalbert@kicksdance.ca at least 2 weeks before your monthly renewal date and we will cancel it for you. There are no refunds or credits on monthly memberships.

Purchased class cards are non-refundable (1 class, 3 class, 5 class and 10 class cards).

Welcome! My name is Courtney and I am the proud owner of The Fitness Studio in Mount Albert! My team and I are committed to creating a healthy, welcoming community, and passionate about empowering others to reach their fitness goals.

Fitness and dance have been a big part of my life since a young age. While operating KICKS Dance Studio in Mount Albert, I discovered a need for adult classes with a focus on fitness. With the passion and dedication of my team, we have grown to a fully functional fitness studio offering classes in a variety of styles including barre, yoga, pilates, fusion, dance fit, and boutique reformer classes to name a few.

We continue to grow and are so excited to be offering a third professional studio space as of August 2024! In addition to operating The Fitness Studio, I also enjoy my roles as Owner/Director KICKS Dance Studio, Mount Albert and Director/Choreographer of the Raptors Lil Ballas Dance Team with Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment.

Meaghan Houghton
Studio Manager & Instructor

Meaghan grew up as a competitive dancer and has always been passionate about challenging her body physically and mentally while having fun at the same time. She studied Dance in Post Secondary early in her career and began instructing dance classes which sparked her love for teaching and educating. It was around this time that she began her own personal journey into the world of Pilates, Barre, and Yoga. She was immediately drawn to this movement style because of its emphasis on balance, flexibility and strength.

Meaghan is now a Balanced Body certified Pilates Instructor and Barre Instructor. She has a passion for mind-body awareness, injury prevention and has an upbeat teaching style. Meaghan’s enthusiasm for movement and fitness is constantly evolving as she continues to share her knowledge and passion with her clients.

Ashley Gunder
Instructor, Certified Athletic Therapist, Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, and co-owner of local injury rehab clinic, Athletic Therapy Lab

Once a competitive figure skater, Ashley took her competitive drive into a passion for health, wellness and fitness. Ashley has experience working with a variety of populations including Professional Athletes during her time with the Professional Women’s Hockey Players Association and the Canadian Women’s Hockey League
and her everyday population clientele who want to maintain strength, mobility and fitness as they age through her clinical practice.

Ashley uses her background in sport, injury rehab and strength training to develop her classes that help you build strength, increase mobility, challenge your core, stimulate your balance and coordination, and improve body awareness to help you reach your fitness goals all while taking injury prevention into consideration.

During your classes with Ashley, you can expect to challenge yourself with a variety of strengthening, mobility and flexibility exercises that will help you move better and feel better

Riley Greenshields
Instructor

Riley Greenshields is a professional dancer, movement motivator, and creator and wellness activist.

Her love for movement first sparked in her early years of competitive figure skating where she achieved quadruple gold status in 2010. She went on to graduate with honours from York University with a double degree in dance and social work.
Riley always had this vision of offering movement therapy but didn’t quite know what that looked like for her. Having danced in the industry for the past 7 years and most recently completing her Trauma Informed Movement & Presence Yoga Teacher Training, Riley is eager and excited to bring forth her cross training classes.

Through a wide range of movement, you will explore strength building, mobility, breath work, body awareness and offerings for enhanced longevity.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I register and book a class?

To register, just follow the online registration link above in the Class Pricing & Packages section and complete the registration form. Upon registering, you will receive an email to download the Fitness Studio app. This app will allow you to book your classes. Be sure to sign up in advance as space is limited.

 

What should I wear to class?

Anything you feel comfortable to move in! Bare feet is recommended for all classes.

 

What should I bring?

Everything you need for a good workout is provided! All you need to bring is a mat and water.

 

Who can participate?

Anyone! All of our classes are designed to be inclusive of all ages, genders, and fitness levels.

 

Class Cancellation

Due to the intimate nature of our class sizes we require 24 hours notice for cancellation of a reformer class, and 12 hours of a group fitness class.

 

Does my class card expire?

There is no expiry for the Single, 5 Class or 10 Class Pass! The 3-Trial Class Pass (New Client Offer) expires 2 months from the date of purchase.

 

What if I’m running late?

We understand that life can get busy. If you are running late, just quietly enter the studio and unroll your mat.

 

What should I expect for my first class?

First things first, expect to have fun! Our classes are paired with great music and props to enhance your experience.
