LOCATION: Evolution Dance Studio, 10557 Keele St., Vaughan
AUDITION TIMES:
10:00am – 9 year olds
10:30am – 10 year olds
11:15am – 11 year olds
12:00pm – 12 year olds
12:30pm – 13 year olds
FINALS: 1:30-3:30pm (be prepared to stay longer if needed).
REGISTRATION: Please register 20 minutes before your audition start time (see times above).
WHAT THE JUDGES ARE LOOKING FOR:
Hip Hop Dancers with outgoing personalities
Ages 9-13 (must be the required age by the day of the audition)
Judges will focus on dance ability, style, enthusiasm and performance!
Dancers must be dedicated and hardworking.
Minimum 3 years dance experience in Hip Hop and/or Jazz is recommended
20-25 team members
OFFICIAL DANCE TEAM APPLICATION & WAIVER
Please bring the completed application form and waiver with you to your audition.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Dancers will be taught a Hip Hop dance routine. Music will be provided. Selected dancers will be required to return for a final dance audition later that day. The audition is closed. Spectators are not permitted.
WHAT TO WEAR:
Comfortable dance wear and indoor running shoes with non-marking soles
COMMITMENT INFORMATION:
The Lil Ballas Dance Team will have 10-15 mandatory team rehearsals from September to April on Sunday afternoons in Markham.
The Lil Ballas Dance Team will perform at 15 Raptor home games. The team will also perform at home playoff games.
Final team members will be given the full schedule and all team information following the audition.
PRE-AUDITION WORKSHOP:
August 24th and 25th, 11am-3pm, Markham Theatre. Join us for a jam packed, high energy Hip Hop workshop to warm-up for the audition! Learn from today’s hottest choreographers! Hip Hop, Dancehall and audition prep classes! 5-10 final round passes will be awarded throughout the weekend! Ages 9-13. Registration is open now!
