MEAGHAN HOUGHTON
RECREATIONAL & COMPETITIVE INSTRUCTOR
Meaghan’s love and passion for dance began at the age of 2. She trained extensively at KICKS Dance Studio in various styles such as; Contemporary, Lyrical, Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Acro and Hip Hop for 16 years.
Meaghan is a recent graduate from George Brown College’s Dance Performance Program, and was the recipient of the Contact Modern Dance Award in 2016. She has won many Scholarships such as; Broadway bound L.A. and New York, Fresh Dance Intensive, On The Floor, and Jump Dance Intensive. Meaghan has performed in numerous dance shows in Toronto a few including; Fever After Dark, OTF A Night for Sick Kids Gala, Unleashed, In Haus, RayDance, and in New York; Young Choreographers Festival, and APAP. Meaghan has had the pleasure of working with renowned choreographers such as; Hanna Kiel, Ryan Lee, Kenny Pearl, Kate Alton, Derek Sangster, Wendy Chiles, Nicola Pantin, Patrizia Ferlisi, and Rebecca Zizek. Meaghan attended the Dance Teacher Summit in New York City in 2016, where she was able to expand her knowledge on teaching different styles of dance. She is very happy to be able to share her passion and love for dance with her students.
